I don't know why, but I always melt under songs like these *.* And Michael Bublé, especially, he has this voice... and the microphones they had, those were so pretty! Ah well...
Anyway, you captured the mood perfectly :D This is a very inspirational picture :D And if you can't find a fic like that and happen to have an idea, write it yourself ;D I know I'd read it!

I think I might be able to write a story like this. Hmm... 30s-50s? I'll have to unlearn my 20s slang (which is some of the coolest ridiculous slang ever) and find out what's happening during those years.

Let's see... I think the second Red Scare was going on then, so they couldn't be openly gay for fear of being imprisoned... Even being suspected was bad. Haha. They called them 'sexual perverts' and they couldn't get jobs.

Yeah, that was 47-57. Okay! *starts brainstorming*

Meh, very few artists can make songs like that, unfortunately... They're almost... dream-like, so serene ;.;

I started writing some today, but my cramps were killing me too much and I ended up just sleeping for a long time.

Dang these lady-parts.

As far as the 20s slang, you should look it up some time. It's quite amusing.
